Introduction

These are all symptoms of projects and programmes that are failing to deliver all of their potential business benefits.

Actually realising benefits - rather than just using them to justify a project and then forgetting about them - is a key issue today. For the majority of private and public organisations, benefits are often identified and then forgotten.

This interactive seminar provides delegates with a common sense, practical introduction to Benefit Realisation Management. You will discover how the sigma methodology integrates closely with many existing approaches to programme and project management (e.g. MSP and Prince 2), and how it can dramatically and demonstrably increase the realisation of benefits from investment in business change at all levels. You will learn:

  • how to apply the sigma BRM methodology used by many leading organisations
  • proven tools and techniques for realising value from change
  • examples of how to secure commitment from all programme stakeholders
  • how to manage successfully intangible benefits like customer satisfaction
  • how to relate benefits from investments to business objectives
  • how to monitor delivery of benefits.
